Difference Between Hairs

Even though we only sale 100% human hair and think most of our clients prefer this. There are various textures of hair weaves, extensions, and closures. It is a confusing issue looking for the perfect hair textures that well blend with your natural hair. It is not easy to decide what kind of hair will suit your needs, and how to take care of it.

Synthetic Hair

Synthetic hair is the most inexpensive kind of hair that you can use for weaves and great choice if you are looking for a new look for a short time. You should not get synthetic hair if you plan on using heat, since t is essentially made of microfibers and cannot take heat at all. However, Synthetic hair is the most affordable type of hair on the market- ideal for anyone who wants a change without breaking the bank. This type of hair is usually already styled at the time of purchase which eliminates the styling process, saving you money as well as time. If you are considering getting a weave for the first time synthetic might be the way to go.

But what you need to know is that although synthetic hair is convenient and cost effective, it does have its limits when it comes to being versatile. Synthetic hair is made to look like human hair constructed from thin manufactured hair fibers; therefore, it is not heat resistance to the extent that human hair is. You cannot curl or straighten synthetic hair for you might take the risk of burning or damaging it.

Human Hair

100% Human hair has a clear natural appearance to it compared with synthetic hair. Human hair is great because it blends in with your natural hair effortlessly and can last very long time (approx. 6-8 months) with multiple installs, it all depends on how well you take care for it. Human hair also has the versatility that synthetic hair does not have. Human hair gives you the free range to style your weave exactly the way you want to. Whether it’s curled or straightened it will with stand the heat applied to it and just like natural hair you have the ability to dye it if you choose to. Just like everything else, human hair does has its defect. It is a bit more expensive than synthetic hair, costing anywhere between $50-$150 per bundle, cost depends on the length and brand. But you will have better quality hair to work with. Human hair also has the tendency to tangle and shed if not taken well care of. Also, some human hair is often put through some processing to improve its appearance.

Remy Hair

Remy hair is versatile, natural and has similar qualities to human hair. Remy human hair is the most durable, long-lasting, and reliable hair. It will maintain its natural movement and appearance from 6 months to over a year. It is also heat resistant, so applying various styles like straight or curly and dyes will not be an issue. Remy hair is available in various styles such as straight, deep wave, body wave, bohemian curly, etc. You want remy hair with the cuticles facing the same direction to reduce chances of tangling and infamous frizziness.

You will notice that with remy hair there is virtually not tangling or shedding because the cuticles are kept intact and all face the same direction. There are various textures to purchase such as Indian, Brazilian, Malaysian and Peruvian.

Virgin Hair

Virgin hair is completely 100% natural and unprocessed human hair. Some may wonder what the difference between remy and virgin hair is. Although, they are almost identical the biggest difference is that virgin hair is completely 100 % natural and unprocessed. Virgin has not been processed or dyed and is only available in its natural color. Virgin hair is always remy hair; however, remy hair is not always virgin hair.
